Barbara,
So, are you telling us you will actually base your choice for the next President of our country on the tunes and artists they care for?
Their music choices give you enough information to make this decision for yourself and family and the future of your and my country?
For some reaseon since I have been following your blogs I felt you were more intelligent than that.
Unless...you made the remark in jest.

Anon, well if you have been following my blogs I think you know whether or not I made the remark in jest.

yes barbara, the last person proves that some people just dont do irony (many your countrymen, except you of course)

the idea that it takes intelligence to know who to vote for is also an interesting concept, it certainly hasnt required intelligence to be the most powerful person in the world, the least reflective, the most dangerous, most people outside of the good ol' u.s. of a. realise the axis of evil is the tension caused between george's three working neurons, probably the least religious politician you have ever had in moral terms (oh dear i am ranting, sorry, no irony can be boring)

I guess I have not noticed a political slant to this blog. Was "Paul" speaking both for himself and you?
I have commented before and have enjoyed all of your blogs. Win some, lose some.

Good songs on both lists... How do you find these nuggets of info?!

Dancing Queen??..??..??

Paul, I'm glad you feel comfortable sharing your opinions here!

Anon, the post was an attempt at humor based on the fact that Barak Obama listed my two favorite bands in his top ten! I actually choose who to vote for by flipping a coin.

Henn, got this from Blender magazine. I have a list of things I glance at each day and if something jumps out at me I usually write about it.

Jeff...I KNOW!

As soon as I saw that John McCain had not one, but two ABBA songs in his top 10, I knew that you were firmly in his corner.

I also go by the tastes of the candidates to determine which way I will vote. When I found out that a previous Presidential candidate was a big fan of Humphrey Bogart, I voted for him. It didn't matter to me that I was against his foreign and tax policies; he was a Bogie fan so that was good enough for me.

TWO Abba songs....

How can he lead the free world?

Then again, they both like Frank....

And sorry, but Kanye West is almost as bad as Abba in my opinion...

Dang, now who the heck am I gonna vote for???

It's a good thing I'm not basing my vote on those guys' music preferences. I know you're not, either. (Good grief.)

Small world! Good to see you again!

Kanye owns Vinny :P

I like ABBA. For real. But then again Obama has U2. It's a toss up!

Irony is a lost art and literalism sucks.

the platters are excellent, but mccain’s list is less “interesting”. except the ABBA. wtf?

I like the boss but I'm on fire is the most annoying song ever overplayed on MTV :D

HAMMER! I totally agree. I was completely embarrassed by all the videos Bruce did back then...Dancing in the Dark made me want to cry it was so stupid. But, being a loyal fan of Bruce I would never admit this to anyone ;)
