Velvet Revolver Fans: Free DVD!

UPDATE:  One of my blog friends has asked for this DVD so I am giving it to her.  But keep your eyes open, I will be giving away a Rolling Stones DVD next week!


I've been given a copy of brand new DVD, "Velvet Revolver Live in Houston".  I am not a huge VR fan so I am giving this DVD away to someone who will agree to review it on their blog (or I can put it here if you don't have a blog).

So let me know if you're interested and I'll pick a name out of a hat for the "winner".  Should I use this hat?

How Rumors Get Started....

I read this over on a blog that I just love, "Real Rock News":

"Duff McKagan, bass player for Velvet Revolver is saying that they are in line to be the supporting act in the event of a Led Zeppelin tour. There was no word on why McKagan would say something like that and he did not offer any kind of explanation."

Dude, this is rad. (I don't know where that came from....I don't typically talk like that but ... sometimes it slips out....)

Anyhow, this could be a RUMOR but I like to think of it as HOPE that maybe

JUST MAYBE

I will get to see Led Zeppelin (with Jason Bohnam.....) someday

Velvet Revolver Review

Rock of Ages has a really good review on VR's new CD. I commented over there that I did not plan on purchasing it, but now I will give it a shot. I also did a bit of name-dropping and metioned that went to high school with Matt Sorum. I have an album (i.e. vinyl record!) of the first band he was in (Prophecy), I wonder if I could cash it in on Ebay for some $$$.

So these guys LOOK like rock and roll or what? Gotta love it.
