Disappointing Concert News

I'm not happy about these two things:

1. Do you know who's opening for U2 when I see them in October? "The Black Eyed Peas". No offense to any Pea fans out there but I don't like their music and don't want to have to sit through it. Yuk.

2. I was so excited to hear that the original members of Bad Co. (minus Boz Burrell who died in 06) are doing a brief tour this summer. But my excitement was short lived when I checked the schedule:

They aren't coming West! Dang it! I am disappointed.

I'm so bummed about the Bad Company tour as well! They're not going west past Michigan. :(
Hopefully they'll add more dates but it's kind of doubtful since Ralphs is going to reunite Mott and of course Rodgers is with Queen now.

BTW that really sucks about the Black Eyed Peas as the opening act. Yuck.

Well, Bad Company at Chastain in Atlanta will be a great show. Sorry they're not headed out west.

I'm not a Black Eyed Peas fan, either, but U2 has a habit of "unusual" opening acts. I remember when I saw the Zooropa tour here - and Public Enemy was the opening act.

We had Kanye last time around. I don' remember who opened back on the JT tour. If I could turn back time and see one show it would be the Zoo tour with Oasis as the openers.

Aaaah. When I saw U2 the first time, No Doubt opened for them. No better and a little bit frightening.

The biggest concert news coming, in my opinion (and I know you'll appreciate it) is that Cat Stevens is going to tour North America this coming year. Yes! The Cat back out on tour. We can't miss that one.

We've missed you recently at the Ripple. Hope you've been well and things have been peaceful.

Classic, good I'm not the only one that doesn't like B E Peas.

SiS, Yes you're right about their opening acts. When I saw them in 05 they had Ziggy Marley.

Starr, Yeah, Oasis would be a good one.

Ripple, You guys!!! I keep forgetting when its Wednesday, please email me next time and say "get your butt over here". I've been really distracted lately and always realize when it's too late.

CAT STEVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even describe how excited I am that Muse will be opening for U2 when they come to my area. It definitely sucks that it's the Black Eyed Pees, and does that mean Fergie will be there too?

When I saw U2 during the Vertigo tour I saw the Kings Of Leon open, and they were really good. So I can't complain with their opening bands when they come around at all.

Hey, Black Eyed Peas Rn't THAT bad... I'm notta HUGE fan, but "Pump It" is pretty great (especially LOUD), & some of their other stuff ain't bad -- usually the LOUDER stuff.
& Boz Burrell DIED IN '06? Jeez, he was w/ King Crimson 4 awhile, they're 1 of my all-time faves. I AM outta touch....
Best, -- TAD.
