Let's see...I've got 8 crates of vinyl records (about 100 records in each), 4OO+ CD's, and a dresser full of cassette tapes (many of them bootlegs). That adds up to over 2,000 titles. This does not include what's in my computer.
About 8400 songs in itunes, several crates of vinyl and a lot of bootleg CDs. I sold all of my regular CDs last year. ( I did the same with all the cassettes I had in the early 90s as they have zero resale value)
I have over 23,000 mp3s, not sure how many CDs, and I may have a few cassettes here and there still kickin' around too. I have a few (about 5-10) vinyl records (although nothing to play them on).
iTunes hit 5,000 this weekend...10 crates of albums (so about 1,000 of them - moving them to the digital state) Over 500 cassettes, mainly bootlegs and things I used as a DJ at weddings...
I have 5-600 cds, 300 cassettes, 200 albums, 12000 songs on my ipod, 6000 more on various computers and 10-12 songs bouncing around my brain that I may or may not have written at one time or have not yet put to tape.
I have 1000-1100 LP records, enough 45's to fill two jukeboxes, and between the wife and myself we probably have 600 or so CD's. My itunes has just under 4200 songs in it. 80% of which i don't actually own on a physical format. Most importantly, every time i pick up a guitar i make up new music....
39,000 songs on my itunes, that puts me in the lead but maybe because alot of it isnt rock its not counted ? Lots of jazz fusion (not smooth jazz !), heaps of duff-duff music to run to and way too much progressive metal
3 crates of vinyl, 1000cds, threw all my cassette tapes out a few years ago, i think if i played shuffle on my itunes it would take 10 months 24/7, god knows why i need this much

22,248 songs in iTunes. I'm not going to count my CD's today, sorry. ;-)

No 8-tracks or Reel to Reels though.

I think Mike and Perplexio are leading right now.

passed the 22,000 mark on my ipod this weekend.
I actually had a lot more, but slimmed down my collection over the weekend. I got rid of around 5 or so gigabytes of MP3s that I never listened to.
Currently 9632 songs on my iPod.
Several thousand CD's and a few out of print albums.
