Why do 45 records have big holes instead of little ones like other records?
for the answer you have to visit
Bloggerythms.
Also, I know a few people who will absolutely cringe at the thought of this...but I stumbled upon
this site where they make jewelry out of "used vinyl" (is there any other kind?). Its a creative idea but extremely disturbing to think of all those records being destroyed.

I suppose if the disc is scratched to hell it is ok :P
Layla! You would not be pleased with me...
I have several records that I framed and they're hanging on my wall. I don't even know if they're playable or not because... well, I don't have a turntable! It's terrible, I know.
I'm just a big fan of vinyl album cover art though so they go straight on my wall! (think Hotel California, Sticky Fingers, Rumours, etc)
Starr, yes then its okay.
Classic, No I think that's COOL to display them like that, check out Daniel Edlen's art in my sidebar, he does art on vinyl. Its just the thought of it being all cut up that kind of bugs me.
I was over on Scott Parker's blog and he mentioned his wife does art from vinyl & what not. She made him a serving dish for potato chips and what not out of the 2nd LP from Chicago VII (one of his favorites).
Perplex, I checked out Scott's blog - he's an interesting guy! thanks for pointing me over there. and a huge thanks for the comments on GBNF!!
Dislaying albums is cool..taking usable vinyl history and wasting it on jewelry...NOT COOL
