I almost missed his birthday but luckily several other bloggers wrote about i. I just got done watching this video over at Rock and Roll Blog (a great blog to visit).
This is Santana performing at Woodstock and its INSANE how great it is. Carols shreds and Michael Shrieve (who is a baby in this - only 19!) gives one of the best drum solos I've ever seen. No kidding. Plus you gotta love the audience :) for once they show naked guys instead of naked women. I like that for a change.

Awesome guitarist! Among one the best I've ever heard! His work on his Lotus album is absolutley mind blowing!
As I said over on Rock and Roll's blog, this is one of the best Santana videos I have ever seen. The drummer is phenomenal! He looks 19, but plays like he has played all of his life. I sure wish I could have been a fly on the wall onstage during Woodstock. What a rush that would have been.
Saw him last year here in Memphis. Was not very close, but the sounds emitting from the speakers as he wailed were something I will never forget
