I Saw Her Standing There

This is video is too fun!  See how many people you can recognize here.  I'll name the obvious ones:  Billy Joel, Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Bruce (who forgets the lines to the song - lol).  It was 1988 and these boys looked YOUNG.  I guess we all looked pretty dang young 20 years ago no matter old we are today!

I don't know what the occasion of this video is, anyone know?

Was that a Rock n' Roll Hall of Hall of Fame sort of thing?

Well, that's Paul Schaeffer on the portable keyboard. I recognized one of the Wilson brothers(not Dennis or Brian),; I think I saw Billy Preston; he was the fifth Beatle, afterall(or was that Murray the K? I keep forgetting). And I'm pretty sure that's Brian Setzer playing next to George.

This has to be at the Rock Hall. Paul Shaeffer is there. Ringo, Bruce Johnston from the Beach boys. I think Brian Wilson is also there. Jeff Beck does the solo in the middle. Bob Dylan, Dave Edmunds, Tina Turner. I also think Little Stevie and Max Weinberg are there.

thanks for your comments! I was so bummed that no one had left me a comment for a week :) Its the little things in life, ya know???

Drew, I don't think so, I need to research it. Whatever it was it was HUGE.

Nobody's, wow, good eye. I think the Beach Boy you saw is Mike Love, cause I thought I saw him too. Who is Murray the K?

Scott, Uhhhh - I guess it is the R & R Hall of Fame since three people here seem to think so!

Jim, did you see Mike Love in there? I am pretty sure I did. I think I saw Jeff too. Now I have to watch it again!!! I want to see all these people now that I know who Im looking for.

Murray the K was a disc jockey in NY back in my youth, and was occasionally dubbed the 5th Beatle, for some reason. He, Cousin Brucie Morrow, William B. Williams, and Don Imus(yes, that Don Imus) were the big guns in radio back then, along with Scott Shannon, John Records Landecker, Wolfman Jack and Scott Muni.
