And a tour update: They
WILL be touring in 2009, they have signed the deal with Live Nation.
Now, if you think I talked a lot about Bruce recently - just WAIT till they release their new music....I may lose a lot of readers but I will be one happy chick!
I think I will start a fund immediately, who knows how much I will be scalped for this time. In 2005 I paid $300 for one ticket :(

Interesting. I never knew that Bono dude was in U2. I thought he was just a global crusader with odd eyewear accessory choices (at least I know the reason for that now).
The following is what is so amazing with the egos in this industry. "with their original lineup still cranking out the massive hits over 30 years later."
I am soooooo excited for them to tour again. It was one of the greatest shows I have ever seen.
Never seen them, but I would like to do so...I have a huge problem with the ticket prices of some of these shows...
Bond nailed it. With the success the band has had--and the reputation for pleasing the fans who made it all possible--isn't it about time U2 did a tour in which the boys make little or no money?
Charging just enough to pay the roadies and other workers would keep prices waaaay down. Hell, why not actually take a slight LOSS as a gift to the fans and keep tickets (GASP) really cheap?
