Grammy Results for Bruce

Here is my latest complaint about the Grammy Awards, and I will drop this subject (for another year)

If you didn't read the post I linked to the other day about the Grammy's and why they have nothing to do with true talent - you really should read it. It's FUNNY, its called "The 7 Most Unforgivable Grammy Award Snubs of All Time". I'd like to add this years snub to Bruce to the list.

Bruce one 3 out of 4 of the nominations he was up for.

Congrats, Bruce.

Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance - Radio Nowhere
Best Rock Instrumental Performance - Once Upon a Time in the West
Best Rock Song (songwriter's award) - Radio Nowhere

BUT...
I am bitter - not because of what he won but for what he was not even nominated for, he deserved to be considered in these categories and the dissed him. What a joke.

Bruce was not nominated in

Album of the Year

Song of the Year

Record of the Year

easy now. Respect the restraining order...just like the one you have against you for Bono.

I LOVE Radio Nowhere. I agree. Such a travesty.

Mike, Mike, Mike....you silly person. I don't have THOSE types of feelings for B or B, in fact if I saw either one in person I would probably not even try to talk to them because I would most likely say something stupid and end up looking like a dumb fan or something.

Jo,
I always knew you had good taste in music!

He probably got snubbed for album of the year after it only got 6/10 on Rock and Roll and Meandering Nonsense.

An incredible injustice...

A mind-boggling travesty!! Hopefully I'll be over it by the time the Boss comes to visit us in Milwaukee next month.

As I said over on Blogness, it turns out it was a good thing "Magic" wasn’t nominated … The sound of millions of palms slapping against foreheads when it lost out to a Herbie Hancock covers album would have just been too much to take.

Now if Bruce wanted to get nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year, all he would have to do is record a slowed-down, acoustic album of some of his classics and release one of them (say "Born To Run") as a single. If one of his family members suffers a tragic death, that would make it all the more easier for the Grammy committee to give Bruce his due.
