But I May as Well Try and Catch the Wind....

Over on Rock Revival there's a post about a new Donovan DVD that's coming out this month. The post starts out:

Please don't scoff, while Donovan may never have lived up to his promotion as the British answer to Dylan, he did have moments of absolute brilliance during the days of Flower Power.

Watch this video, its only a minute long, please just watch, it would make me so happy!

I have no problem admitting I am a life long fan of Donovan and am going to see him live next month near my home. I was a very young hippy in the 60's (ok, I was only 4 years old when his first song came out) and Donovan embodies all things Hip, Psychedelic and Groovy.

I always liked "The Universal Soldier" myself - thought that was a very good song. I found that and "Catch The Wind" on an old "Secret Policeman's Ball" tape years ago....

NOTE to PAUL:

Oops. Paul, you are damn right about that and I knew that but get so mixed up about those countries over there...thanks for the gentle correction. Hopefully I won't make that mistake again!!)

Hey Rock, I am glad you are a fan as well :)

I had no idea you were a fan of Donovan. I made a CD of mid to late 60s pop for the lady I'm dating and one of the songs I included was "Jennifer Juniper". Another one of his songs that I like is "Wear Your Love Like Heaven".
