I've seen some great shows at MSG. My favorite was probably The White Stripes. Obviously I wasn't lucky enough to experience any of the great performances from the 70s :-(

Wow, Bruce is takin' over!

Of course I had to go with the Mac in '79. Obvi I wasn't around in the '70s and obvi I don't live in NYC... but how cool to have been able to go to some of those awesome shows!!!

Would have been nice to have been in the crowd at MSG in '73 when they shot "The Song Remains the Same" concert footage.

Jeff, that's the one nice thing about being "ole", I was around for some great concerts :)

Classic, I need to check. When I last looked Sly was way ahead!

Sean: two words, No Sh*t. Wow.

I saw the Boss at MSG on the Born in the USA tour in 1985 or 86. (I was a kid. 12 years old or so.)
Since it was the only concert i ever saw there- to me, it was the best.

R&R, Cool!!! That was a great show to see at any age! I took my son to see Bruce when he was 11 and he thought it was "okay".

28 minutes of Dazed and Confused complete with a violin bow and Jimmy in his dragon suit, Bonzo and his Gong and the blur of his feet on the bass pedal Robert as the epitome of a golden god, John Paul Jones does No Quarter's spooky intro on keys...1973 Zeppelin...Houses of The Holy Tour...........no contest.

I was at Zeppelin '73; Elton & John '74; Bruce '78

How can the Elton John/John Lennon not be the best?

Dan said...

I agree with Seano. That would have been a snappin gig.
