Haven't felt much like writing or listening to music.
I have a U2 concert coming up on the 25th at the Rose Bowl...at the moment it sounds like a drag but I am sure I'll be feeilng happier when the day arrives.
Last night I listened to "No Line on the Horizon" on my iPod as I tried to fall asleep. I don't think I ever listened to all the lyrics before because some of the songs seemed new to me. "Unknown Caller" and "Moment of Surrender" were interesting.
I wish I had more to say to keep this blog alive....
So talk to me - what are YOU listening to these days?

Ironically, I've been listening to that "Back Door Slam - Live From Bonnaroo" disc a lot recently. How had I missed this band before???
I haven't really been listening to much lately either, but today I was listening to an EP by a Philly musician named John McManus. Then I bought a copy of Ben Kweller's album Sha Sha. Both really enjoyable.
Today I listened to The Wall and also I have a subscription to the British rock mag "Uncut". They always send a CD with the mag. I am impressed with Drive By Truckers. Never had heard them before. Also Wilco is pretty cool. Hope all is well on your end today and in the future.
10cc has been in rotation recently as well as the Kings of Leon. I had to learn three sets of music for a gig last Friday, so for two weeks prior I had been listening from a "work" perspective.
Dan-the Drive By Truckers are excellent. I saw them play live this past summer. Pretty laid back, but good.
New Pearl Jam...going to get the new Alice in Chains tomorrow.
I mainly listen to music in the car, as it seems at home my listening is often interrupted. Lately Bob Dylan (this has been non-stop for about a year) and Jackson Browne (this is a voyage of rediscovery.)
I've been ping-ponging backward and forwards between current fav Little Boots (check out all her 'at home' videos on YouTube) and old eighties goth favourites Ghostdance whom I liked alot at the time and never really let go of.
Sometimes it's nice to be old - you have more choice!!
Michael Dean Damron - Father's Day
Delbert McClinton - Aquired Taste
The Beatles Remasters
Robert Earl Keen - The Rose Hotel
Gov't Mule - By a Thread
I just bought two new vinyls - U2 Rattle & Hum (I can't get enough of the amazing version of "Bullet the Blue Sky" and ELP's debut s/t album. Both are awesome, but right now ELP's album has been receiving a little more attention.
You're going to have such a great time at U2 by the way. It's amazing how much energy that band has!
Not a lot these days- mostly Bruce Springsteen.
I've been listening to the Boz. A bit of Silk Degrees a bit of Speak Low, some of his anthology too.
I've also been listening to a little bit of Steely Dan and Toto.
And even though I've had it for close to a year I've only recently started "digesting" Bill Champlin's newest solo album, No Place Left to Fall. Considering he was/is my favorite member of Chicago I took his departure from the band somewhat hard. So I've also been dabbling a bit in Chicago music recorded during his tenure in the band (1981-2009)
I just let my iTouch shuffle along...could be Allman's, Dead, Sinatra, some jazz...Marley, right this moment...Joe Crocker, one of the new musicians I featured on my blog recently
Been listening to a lot of my mixes and my iPod. So pretty much everything. Hooked hard a Owl City at the moment.
I've been listening to the new Pearl Jam and a lot of old Blur.
Hey, by the way, I'm going to see the boss Friday night at Giants Stadium! Probably the last show there before it's torn down. Should be epic. :)
Beck, I'm loving the new Pearl Jam! I hope you write about Bruce on your blog! I am so envious! Have a great time.
I've been listening to Brandi Carlile - a rockin' chick form Washington State, Los Lonely Boys, and The Smithereens. All good stuff!
