I know I may get bashed for saying this....but I've never been overly impressed with Ringo Starr. I think he's a fine drummer and all but the least talented of the four Beatles.
When I saw this clip yesterday I was not sure if it was a joke or a gimmick or if maybe he had a few too many bowls of the good stuff...
What do you think is up with Ringo and his video request for "no more fan mail".
I think even Ringo himself would admit that he was the least talented of The Beatles. As for the clip, I think it's a gimmick and he's had too much of something... what that "something" might be is anybody's guess.
I saw where Ringo mentioned in the clip that he has too much to do. I guess his plate is full filming those late night infomercials, which by the way is something I never want to see an ex-Beatle doing.
He sounds stoned or something... I like Ringo a lot, he clearly doesn't have much talent when it comes to drumming, and was easily the least gifted of The Beatles, but he has a great personality which makes up for his other shortcomings. He also realizes that he's far from being a great drummer, he jokes about it during his live performances.
It appears that Ringo does not remember that it was fans that made him internationally famous. He's always been a bit of a snob and he certainly is showing it now. I think it's downright disgusting that he has no regard for the people that pay to see him and buy his records. Paul McCartney continues to show appreciation to his fans. Ringo needs to look at Paul and try to emulate him.

I'm tempted to send him something after October 20, just to see what happens.
Malcolm, I never saw the late night infomercials...that is sad.
Russ, you should! Then do a post about it.
Dude, he is drunk! ROFL :D

Ringo needs to get over himself and thank his lucky stars Pete Best isn't the one dealing with the fan mail.
