50 Bands to See Before You Die

Jeff has an interesting list done by "Q" magazine over on his blog today. Stop by and answer his questions. Here are the top ten I'd pull off the list of 50 with the ones I've already seen highlighted.

1. AC/DC 5. Pink Floyd 7. The Who 12. The White Stripes 19. Bob Dylan 21. The Rolling Stones 22. Neil Young 40. Red Hot Chili Peppers 42. U2

I haven't seen any of those bands, and the only ones I wish I'd seen are AC/DC, Slipknot, Pink Floyd, and The Who.

Where the heck have I been? I got absolutely zero.

What about Elton John, Billy Joel, Joe Satriani, Chicago...?

I would put Pink Floyd at number 1. Although I haven't seen any band live, but from the dvd's I have I'd have to put Floyd on top. The sheer scale and complexity of their performances is amazing. Other than I think Zeppelin would be in my top 3 for sure.
Its unfortunate though, that I will never see Floyd and Zeppelin live.

Wow... I suck..the only bands I have seen on that list are:

5. Pink Floyd
19. Bob Dylan
21. The Rolling Stones

And have to tell you, most of the others. I could care less about seeing live....Tony B would love to see though

Give me the Allman Brothers, Taj Mahal, Hot Tuna, Clapton, Lennon, Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Elton John, Billy Joel, Grateful Dead, NRPS, Govt' Mule, Derek Trucks,

NOW I have seen all of them (and most multiple times)

I would love to have seen Led Zeppelin and the Sex pistols, two of my all time favourite bands, despite them being complete opposites!

Of the concerts I have seen, the top three would be Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Neil Young.

The best concert I EVER saw was the aforementioned Neil Young concert. Absolutely amazing. Apart from the incredible performance, there's a big sentimental story behind that night that just made it unforgettable. Bon Jovi was involved, but it's a long story.
