Happy Birthday to Bob Dylan

Bob turns 67 today. I have always been a fan of older Dylan music but really enjoyed his release "Modern Times".

He's a genius with words if you ask me. My favorite Dylan song will always be "Just Like a Woman".

Do you have a favorite Dylan song? Do you listen to him now? Ever?

Thanks, Bob, for 50 great years of music with more to come....I hope!

After buying the Bootleg Series, "Blind Willie McTell" really stayed with me. It's hard to pick one fave, but that's the first one I thought of after reading your post.

My favorite Dylan song is "Absolutely Sweet Marie" from the "Blonde On Blonde" album.

"Tangled Up In Blue" is my favorite. Actually the whole "Blood on the Tracks" album is great.

Two of my favorites are "Masters of War" and "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll". Oh and by the way, I went out to Santa Barbra for a week to visit my friend who goes to school out there. I mainly went out there to go surfing. It was a great time, basically 80s and sunny everyday.

Too many favourites to choose from, But having recently watched the Dylan
biopic, Im Not There, I would say Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues is top for me right now.

Dylan is a staple with me for the last 40+ years. No better wordsmith in this generation. "Lay Lady Lay" has always been my favorite followed closely by "Girl From The North Country".

Favorite song is tough. Favorite album is tougher. But since we are all fans here, I thought I'd introduce you to my new novel, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS, which I think you'd enjoy.

It's a murder-mystery. But not just any rock superstar is knocking on heaven's door. The murdered rock legend is none other than Bob Dorian, an enigmatic, obtuse, inscrutable, well, you get the picture...

Suspects? Tons of them. The only problem is they're all characters in Bob's songs.

You can get a copy on Amazon.com or go "behind the tracks" at www.bloodonthetracksnovel.com to learn more about the book.

Dylan is one of the evergreen evergreat artists, and his songs span over so many different eras of rock music that it's difficult to pick a favorite.. But if I had to, I'd say 'Like A Rolling Stone' ..
Cheers!
