What Should I Listen To?

I'm feeling really "blah" and fighting the blues big time (mental, not rhythm and blues).

What should I listen to to inspire me to carry on even when so much around me is seemingly hopeless?

"(Say Hey) I Love You" by Michael Franti always gives me the right kick.

Barb, put on "Cleaning Windows" by Van Morrison. Impossible tune to be anything other than "glad" to. Sorry that you are feeling down.

How about Mr. Blue Sky by ELO? It's a nice pick-me-up.

Hope you are feeling better! I agree with Chez that song rocks! Also, my staple--Counting Crows always helps me. :) <3

Def Leppard's Hysteria and Pyromania albums are pure fun rock from the 80s and always tend to put a smile on my face. If you're looking for something a bit older might I recommend REO Speedwagon's You Get What You Play For. Their 70s material was pure fun rock and roll. The nice thing about both Def Leppard and REO was that their music was/is fun and neither band took themselves too seriously. When you're feeling down or blue, that tends to be just what the doctor ordered.

I recommend "What Happens Tomorrow" or "Reach Up For the Sunrise" by Duran Duran. Both songs are rich with positive inspiration and upbeat tone. Tomorrow must be better than today. Hope you feel better! :)

Try listening to "Love", the soundtrack from the Beatles Cirque show.
