Sadly (or should I say oddly) enough ELO cellist Mike Edwards, 62 (known as Swami Deva Pramada at the time of his death) was crushed by a 1300+ lb. bale of hay over the weekend.

I guess, sometimes when your number is up, it really is up... There's no real way to prepare for something like that... I mean eating healthier, not smoking, staying off drugs, practicing safe sex, even driving carefully... well none of that can save you from an errant 1300+ lb. bale of hay.

Darrin, thanks for sharing this sad news. I had the same thought when I read it - nothing could prepare you for a sudden accident like this. So I say lets eat, drink and be merry cause we're all gonna die one of these days no matter what.

ELO was one of the first bands I saw in concert way back when...
what?! Edwards dead?!..i wouldn't have known this, thanks for the post..sad news..very sad news...

it's just one of those things that makes you ask 'how did that happen?'..you just never really know...
i wish i've seen ELO live...really no chance of ever going back together? hmmm
