BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, JACKSON BROWNE, DAVID CROSBY & OTHERS TO SALUTE JAMES TAYLOR
James Taylor will be saluted by a bunch of his friends when he gets the 2006 MusiCares Person Of The Year award next month. Artists including Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, and Paul Simon will be on hand at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 6th, when Taylor is honored for his life-long commitment to his music, as well as to various humanitarian and environmental causes. Taylor is expected to perform at the concert, which will also feature Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John, the Dixie Chicks*, Randy Newman, India.Arie, Sting, Alison Krauss, Taj Mahal, and Carole King. Proceeds from the event go to the MusiCares Financial Assistance Program, which provides musicians with financial, medical, and personal assistance.
