Depressed
Sorry I haven't given attention to this blog lately but I just can't seem to shake the BLUES.
So here is something simple to keep my mind occupied and hopefully engage yours as well.
Help me list songs that have the word BLUE in the title. Oh, what the hell, lets just do one each of all the basic colors. No fair looking them up - this is brain power only! That means I get to start and do all the easy ones!
Blue Jean, by David Bowie
Paint it Black, by The Stones
Red, by Sammy Hagar
Green, I can't think of one!
Yellow Submarine, by The Beatles
Brown Sugar, by the Stones
White Room, by Cream
Purple Haze, by Jimi Hendrix
Orange, (does Tangerine by Zeppelin count? I guess not huh?)

DRUMMERS!
What is a band without a drummer? Well, in my humble opinion - not much. I would rather listen to a solo drummer all night than a band without one.
So, with that said lets hear it:
WHO ARE YOUR TOP FIVE DRUMMERS OF ALL TIME?
Here are a few of mine, it's hard to list only five:
John Bonham
Carl Palmer
Neil Peart
Mitch Mitchell
and
Rick Allen (out of sheer admiration he makes the cut)
Found this by accident:

Rolling Stone Magazine 1000th Issue
I've been a real slacker over here on this blog. I apologize for having nothing relevant to say lately. I hope to get myself out of this "funk" I'm in and back into the happy go lucky rocker that is the real me.
In the meantime:
What do you think of the cover of the Rolling Stone? I had fun trying to recognize everyone but there were quite a few I didn't know. I did notice all my faves were right there in front where they belong :)

KICK SOME ROCK N ROLL ASS THIS SUMMER WITH HEART
Its upon us!!!
THE SUMMER CONCERT SEASON!
Last year I saw 7 concerts (not including u2 which was a) technically in the Fall and b) an EVENT, and EXPERIENCE, not a mere "concert")
This summer I am going to be really picky and see only shows that I know are going to be great. I will see my all time favorite female rockers - Ann and Nancy Wilson, to kick of my summer of music.
They'll be at the Del Mar Fair Grounds in San Diego on June 22. I already have my tickets, parking pass and a vacation day planned for June 23. I'd love to somehow meet them, anyone got connections?
I am not kidding you - these two "older ladies" are so talented and rock out so much (they are known for their Zeppelin covers - awesome!). I can't wait!
