I learned something new today!
This is from Dave White at "About Classic Rock"
Once in a while a GRAMMY is awarded in the category of Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo in lieu of separate male and female awards. This GRAMMY was been awarded five times: in 1988, 1992, 1994, 2005 and 2006.
Click Here to see who won this award (hint - 3 out of 5 times it was won by one of my FAVES)

2006 Grammy Awards
Here are my thoughts so far, it's only half over, maybe I'll review the rest later. In my humble opinion (photos below):
The best Acceptance Speeches were by The Edge because he thanked the people that have continued to listen to them over the years allow them to be able to keep doing what they do AND by Bono when he explained what the album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" was about (his dad) and thanked him for giving him the voice and the attitude to use it.
The stupidest duo was putting Mary J. Blige with Bono to ruin (sorry, I mean sing) one of my favorite U2 songs, "One".
Funkiest maternity gown with class: Gwen Stefani
The most sincere Acceptance goes to Kelly Clarkson who really seems like a sweet girl and was pretty surprised that she won - but I think Gwen Stefani should have.
The second hottest legs on earth goes to Madonna (Tina in number one still). Love her or hate her, she has charisma, talent and a great bod.
Most deserved lifetime achievement award: David Bowie has more talent in his little finger than some of these groups have combined. Ugh.
The person I never would have recognized in a million years goes to Joe Perry. If he had not been standing next to Steven, I would not have known it was him.
