Stairway to Heaven...Backwards

This is kinda weird, kinda cool....

Jeff Miner has a "backmasking" site where you can listen to and read the lyrics of some songs that have been rumored to contain "evil" messages when played backwards! Check it out for yourself.

Happy Birthday, Tina!

Maybe she's not Rock and Roll, but no one can deny this woman rocks! I had the incredible privilege of seeing her back when she was still with Ike (the jerk). It was one of those music festivals where a ton of acts played....I don't remember a single band from that night except for Ike and Tina Turner. She was AMAZING. No one can come close to dancing and singing like her. She's one of my all time heroes. Talk about getting better with age! Love her!

Carole King

On a day like today there is only one album for me. Tapestry.

Heading for the down comforter and the iPod and will invite my cat to join me.

"....doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?"

"Looking out on the morning rain..."

"...tonight with words unspoken, you say I'm the only one."

"My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue..."

Thank You Lyrics for Thanksgiving

One of my favortie songs of all time....
Plant/Page

If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.

When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.

Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.

Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by.
My love is strong, with you there is no wrong,
together we shall go until we die. My, my, my.
An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look... see.

And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one.
Happiness, no more be sad, happiness....I'm glad.
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you
Mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.

Happy Birthday, Gordon Lightfoot

Hard to believe he is 67 years old today. Wow.

"Turning back the pages of my sweet shattered dream, I wonder if she'll ever do the same; And the thing that I call living is just being satisfied With knowing I've got no one left to blame."
Gordon Lightfoot

Happy Birthday, Neil!

Neil turns 60 years old today, 11.12.05

Pretty amazing that so many classic rock artist are getting to be senior citizens, yet keep on rocking. Do you have a favorite Neil Young song? I have so many, but if I had to pick just one it would be "Old Man"

The Ozzy of My Generation

Back in my day Ozzy had a very different image than the hard to understand domesticated ex-drug addict old rock-star. He was wild and handsome and dangerous.

I think the show on the Osbourne family shows a side of Ozzy his fans of long ago never would have imagined!

I've never owned an Ozzy album, but my sister used to listen to him constantly. I appreciate his talent.

Intriguing Lyrics

INXS Lyrics

Bitter Tears Lyrics

In the mist
Of my endless search
The best in life
Becomes clear

The rest just begins
To fade by itself
That's a trick I learnt
Though it took so long

Bitter tears taste so sweet
I'm seeing my way
For the first time in years
When the love around
Begins to suffer
And you can't find love
In one
In one another
Push away those bitter tears
Bitter tears

And I thought I was doing no wrong
And I thought I was doing no wrong

In the hour
Of your needs
Lips are trembling
Cause your gonna be free
Realise what were doing here
The time is right to kill your fears

Bitter tears taste so sweet
I'm seeing my way
For the first time in years
When the love around
Begins to suffer
And you can't find love
In one
In one another
Push away those bitter tears
Bitter tears

An I though I was doing no wrong
Push away those bitter tears
Thats what they call doing no wrong
Thats what they call doing no wrong

Push away those bitter tears
Push away those bitter tears
Push away those bitter tears

Thats what they call doing no wrong
