Adam Ant

Several questions come to mind:

1) did he borrow the jacket from Michael or did Michael borrow it from him?

2) I also see a bit of Boy George influence here, or is it the other way around?

3) How do you classify Ant music?

4) Where is he today?

5) Did you know his fan called themselves Antz?

Neil Young

A friend just reminded me of Neil. I can picture the cover to Harvest and Decade...I wore those albums out listening to them over and over....What a great songwriter.

My Humble Apology

Dear Steve,

WHAT was I thinking?

I can't believe I left Pink Floyd off my poll. I am hanging my head in shame and may not be able to show up and post here until I get over it. I tried to remove Bruce to change it...but alas, it's too late.

As for Bob Plant - I think it suits him these days :)

Happy Birthday, Bob!

I wonder if anyone calls Robert Plant, BOB?

"How can you consider flower power outdated? The essence of my lyrics is the desire for peace and harmony. That's all anyone has ever wanted. How could it become outdated?" Robert Plant

I've Been Tagged!

I've never been tagged before, I kinda like it! Anyhow...Beckeye tagged me with this:

List five songs that you are currently digging - it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions and the five songs (with artist) in your blog. Then tag five people to see what they're listening to.

My list:

1) Don't, Mike and the Mechanics
2) Low Spark of High Heeled Boys, Traffic
3) Stormy, Santana
4) Miracle Drug, U2
5) Un Lugar Celestial, Jaci Velasquez

Now, whom shall I tag? I pick:

Laura
Traci
Regi
David
Isaac

Quote of the Day - Bob Dylan

"Each of us has his own special gift and you know this was meant to be true. And if you don't under estimate me, I won't under estimate you."

"I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

"May your hands always be busy, may your feet always be swift. May you have a strong foundation, when the winds of change shift."

"You breathed on me and made my life a richer one to live, when I was deep in poverty you taught me how to give. Dried the tears up from my dreams and pulled me from my hole, quenched my thirst and satisfied the burning in my soul."

I was thinking about Bob today because a friend of mine, Izik, is a Dylan fan. Izik posted a really cool blog dedicated to his father who recently passed away so that's why he was on my mind.

A few years back Izik and I went to see Bob in concert. I remember asking him (he's in his 20's) how he came to like Dylan. He told me about how his parents listened to Dylan as long as he could remember and they instilled a love of music in him...and a special appreciation for Bob D.

Anyhow...these 2 quotes are to honor the memory of his dad, Skip.
