Lyrics Quiz (with HINTS)

No one seems to ever get the lyrics I post so this time I added some nice HINTS.

You think you’re so illustrious, you call yourself intense (hint: from the chorus, band called The ____)

~~~~
Tap on my window, knock on my door, I want to make you feel beautiful (hint: name of band has a color and a number, not a classic rock band)
~~~~

When you were young and on your own, how did you feel to be alone (hint: first line of song by Canadian with initials NY)

~~~~
Give me light, give me life, keep me free from birth (hint: by a former Beatle)
~~~~

One man caught on a barbed wire fence, one man he resist, one man washed on an empty beach.
one man betrayed with a kiss (hint: by my favorite band)

~~~~
No more speed I’m almost there, gotta keep cool now, gotta take care, last car to pass here I go
and the line of cars goes down real slow (hint, this was their one big hit)
POINTS:
The name of the band: 2 points
The name of the song: 4 points
Both: 8 points
Bonus: if you can figure out one thing all these songs have in common: 100 points!
What you win: Nothing! But I you get to have the highest score :) No cheatin'.
