One of my old blog buddies, OCD Man, is posting again so I am taking his question from the other day:In your opinion, who are the five greatest voices in rock and roll?
My answers:
Robert Plant Greg Lake David Bowie Michael Hutchence Anne Wilson
Names that spring to mind when I think "great voices" are...
David Coverdale (pre 1984 vintage!) Danny Bowes (Thunder) Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) Paul Rodgers Danny Vaughn
Granted though the likes of Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Roger Hodgson, Freddie Mercury and many more all have or can have the ability to create that "wow, what a voice" comment!
I'm going add some others here...I cheated and looked at the lists and I can't disagree with any of them...here are some other voices that popped into my head
James Taylor Linda Ronstadt John Lennon Roger Daultry Jackson Browne
Geoff Tate
