Somehow the date didn't sink into my mind today, I can't believe I didn't recognize it because SRV has a special place in my heart. Thankfully, a blog friend wrote the PERFECT POST for the occasion. I will let you read his words here.
I recognize that SRV was a fantastic guitarist, but he never caught on with me. I think that despite how good a blues player he was, he never did anything new with it. Maybe I just missed the boat. I did like that Canegie Hall CD he had maybe 10 years back, but by and large, I don't enjoy his music.
