Hmmm...the first thing that comes to mind is Folk Rock. All of these bands and artists seem to be compared with Dylan often. Donovan being the "British" Dylan, and Joni Mitchell being the "Female" Dylan, and The Band were "the band" playing behind Dylan for his world tour in 1965. I'm curious to see what the connection is.
I have heard of both actually. My Mom always says the "smart cookie" thing. I have never actually seen "The Last Waltz" DVD but I have heard of it. Can't wait to see your post on it!
