If someone earned a LIFETIME acheivement maybe they need to think of a reason to have another show just for them. Can you imagine them assembling all the people that Robert J. influenced to cover his most popular songs? THAT would be cool!Bar L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11100008292699584336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11886706.post-1139530435822894352006-02-09T16:13:00.000-08:002006-02-09T16:13:00.000-08:00I think the "One" thing would have worked much bet...I think the "One" thing would have worked much better if Mary had simply covered it, without U2, doing an r&b arrangement.

Robert Johnson also earned his lifetime achievement award. Two sessions, died before he was thirty, and his music inspired the very bands that gave us what we know as rock music. Personally, I thought it was tacky to do the lifetime achievements right before giving other awards. Haven't these folks achieved enough to deserve their own moment in the spotlight? Oh, wait, I'm sorry, that would take away from performance time. I am not sure why. I don't get that from too many people. Dang, now I am dissing people on my blog...not good. Ha ha - I like saying "You people" it is always offensive...

I guess I just like both of them so much that they could have clucked like chickens and I would have loved it.

Hasn't Sir Paul gotten enough? Hasn't he won enough? Come On! I didn't grow up with the Beatles, I have NEVER really cared for their music and I don't know what all the hooplah is about Sir Paul. Last night he was good, but Kelly's vocals kick butt! And she is a class act. Give her some credit.Eddohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11791670508114906674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11886706.post-1139511190537287502006-02-09T10:53:00.000-08:002006-02-09T10:53:00.000-08:00I agree Mary J.
